Private Equity Analyst
I worked at Oakwood Legacy Partners as a Private Equity Analyst as an intern during my spring 2023 term. During this internship, I participated in the entire search fund process: industry research, sourcing potential acquisition targets, conducting due dilligence on potential targets, and deal evaluation.
One of my most notable impacts on our overall team was when I was able to narrow down our proprietary search to target specific income levels. To increase our contact rates with potential businesses, I used the income levels of Texas residents to narrow down our search to certain zip codes where businesses were more likely to respond. A lower income level for a certain type of business such as laundromats would indicate that the business was more likely to be profitable and thus more likely to respond to our outreach.
